Estate accounts of Sir Nathaniel Bacon [manuscript], 1598-1601.

Accounts kept by the bailiffs of several of Bacon's manors in Norfolk, of receipts from rents and the sale of agricultural products. Bacon's name does not appear, but his manor of Stiffkey does, also the name of Martin Man, his steward or chief bailiff.

The records described below appear to relate to Nathaniel BACON (1547? - 1622) of Stiffkey, Norfolk, the second son of Sir Nicholas Bacon (1509 - 1579), Lord Keeper. He was admitted to Gray's Inn 1562 December 15; M.P. for Tavistock 1571 and 1572, for Norfolk 1584 and 1593, for Lynn 1597; Sheriff of Norfolk 1599; Knighted 1604 July 21.
